Want me to do something? Tell me it’s impossible. I live for the challenges: creating something in a new market, driving a solar car through Moroccan mountains, juggling 10 projects at a time. I learn fastest by doing, and I surround myself with people who would rather build something than talk about it. I embrace the crazy and delusional because as Steve Jobs said: “The ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

Built our own solar car with 20 students and raced it for 5 days through Morocco, with me and 2 other drivers behind the wheel.
And not a flat one: the course had 270 m of elevation gain.
One stretch, start to finish, in 20 hours and 19 minutes.

I’m Ruben, a crazy & ambitious adrenaline-junkie always on the lookout for stuff to do. Studied business engineering with a background in finance: private equity, a family office and portfolio management. Today I put all of that to work at Kubiqs, giving the construction industry a better way of working, one step at a time.

Part-time at a Leuven-based family office with companies like AE and Mediagenix in its portfolio. Started as financial analyst, business controller from January 2026.
Hands-on experience in accounting, monthly and annual closing, financial controlling and data analysis.
Went through every step of an acquisition, from market research to due diligence right before closing. On the portfolio side I worked on data analysis and buy-and-build tracks.
On the board’s portfolio team, I guided members in analysing stocks and ETFs, and we managed the portfolio of Greenhill Capital: a student organisation of more than 600 members that teaches students how to invest.
With a team of 20 students we designed and built our own solar car and raced it for 5 days through Morocco. I was one of the drivers, co-organised the car reveal for press and partners, and handled all communication with stakeholders.
